it is crazy to think that i've been in des moines for almost a year. in october i'll have worked at starbucks for a year. it amazes me that i can still be surprised by how life never seems to turn out at all like you had planned. i know i never expected in end up in des moines and be where i am now. i guess that's what keeps life interesting, still being able to be surprised, because really what fun would it be if we knew everything ahead of time?
